What is Endoscopic Spine Surgeries?
Endoscopic Spine Surgery (ESS) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat various spinal conditions. It involves using a small endoscope (a thin, flexible tube with a camera and light) to access the spine through a small incision. Surgeons use specialized instruments to visualize and operate on the spine without causing significant damage to surrounding tissues.
ESS is often used to treat conditions like herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, and some forms of spinal tumors.
Symptoms
Patients with the following symptoms might be candidates for ESS if non-surgical treatments fail:

- Pain unresponsive to conservative treatments like physical therapy or medications.
2. Radiating Pain
- Sciatica: Pain radiating down one leg.
- Cervical radiculopathy: Pain radiating from the neck to the shoulder, arm, or hand.
3. Numbness or Tingling
- Sensations of numbness or tingling in the extremities due to nerve compression.
4. Muscle Weakness
- Weakness in the arms or legs, affecting mobility or grip strength.
5. Loss of Function
- Difficulty performing daily activities due to pain or neurological symptoms.
